On February 10, 2012, the international jury of the 55th World Press Photo Contest revealed the winners of this year's competition.

Out of more than 101 254 pictures from around 5247 photographers, a total of 56 photographers were awarded prizes in different categories. laif is especially happy that among the winners were eight photographers from laif's partner agencies.
