The Photo Annual is one of the most important awards in 2012 and shows different fields of professional photography worldwide. This year, six laif-photographers have been awarded.

Olga Kravets "Uhvatio Maglu/Tracing Ratko Mladic" and Kai Löffelbein "Kids of Sodom" won in the category "Student Work". Nadav Neuhaus received the award for his film "Haiti-Fear in the Camps" in the category "Video". Maria Morinas, Olga Kravets and Oksana Yushko won with their video work "Grozny: Nine Cities". The feature about the Grozny Nine Cities project can be seen here. Dirk Kruell was awarded in the category "Corporate Design/Photo Products" for his photographs for the Standox/DuPont calendar.
