Italian-German Lifelines
50 years ago the first Italian migrant workers came to Frankfurt. It was a form of migration that had unexpected consequences. Three generations later, the Italians are now Frankfurt citizens. The presence of Italian-Germans can be seen in the many cultural associations, trade union and church activities. Berlin photographer Gunter Klötzer photographed the lifelines of twelve Italian men and women in Frankfurt. In association with the Coordinamento Donne di Francoforte.
