Britta Jaschinski hat in diesem Jahr bei dem Veolia Environnment Wildlife Photographer of the year - Award, in der Kategorie Nature in Black and White, mit ihrem Bild `Lone Lion´ ein Highly Commended gewonnen. Der Preis wird vom Natural History Museum/London und dem Fernsehsender BBC Wildlife vergeben.
